In February, "The Hall of Rare" will return with more episodes of series' presumed lost. Also, a new feature will be added in which, all throughout the month of February, an ENTIRE episode of a classic show will be featured. (EDIT: I should clarify that it will be a different episode each week, and not just one episode for the whole month.)
I'd recommend that any downloaders have high-speed internet, to say the least.

SPEAKING OF To Say the Least, this is directed towards all the collectors here: a third episode of it exists.
In fact...I have added to the UCLA Archive Highlight Page a listing of discovered episodes of series' that were thought to have been completely wiped out, and some may be quite surprising...only these episodes are NOT located at UCLA..but rather in at least one private game show collection. (Sorry, but searching online will be futile.)

This list will be growing, but as it stands now, those of you who listed your "Magnificent Marble Machine" episode as being the only existing episode...that is now officially a confirmed inaccuracy. What a joy that is!

..or not.

Is it the episode with Earl Holliman, Leslie Uggams, Adrienne Barbeau, and Arte Johnson available at the Beverly Hills MoTR?

I saw the aforementioned ep. at the MoTR. Not bad, really.

There's actually two episodes at MoTR, if you ask for the May 1976 WOF episode, on the same tape is an MMM episode with Pat Harrington and the aunt/niece Fabr[ay|eres] family.

Where but on a game show message board does that make any sense at all?

I believe the episode does indeed include Pat Harrington, and I completely forgot about the episode Monsieur Klauss mentioned.
So now we know of three....1 of which is floating around, and another which could be circulating later in the year. It's not THAT bad a show I guess. Better than Blank Check.

Now if only we could find one single episode of Snap Judgment and a video copy of 100 Grand....

I'll throw this out there, because one day I can be sure it will turn up.

Will there be any efforts to uncover Second Chance in the searching? I know it's another one out there on the lists, and I am otherwise confident that someone is holding an episode.

Sadly, my confidence sends from the fact that several years back someone came to my site asking if I wanted it in exchange for some shows. And sure enough, the moment she did, I got so swamped by life I wasn't able to capitalize. It's a lost opportunity I have yet to forgive myself for.

But one of these days...

Another Second Chance is bound to turn up again, though I've not received any information on any episodes just yet. I've learned that if it aired after 1970, the chances of finding one are pretty decent. The major challenge lies in finding the shows from the 50s and 60s...

Some notes with your list:

A few years ago, someone offered a substantial fragment of a Snap Judgement episode on Usenet.

An episode from late in the run of PDQ is in the UCLA Film Archive: This is its listing.

Is the Jackpot! episode the same one as at MTR (IIRC, it's from the day before the circulating episode), or a different one?

Side note: wouldn't that have been a rerun from an earlier date? My impression was any ep from that series from April 1 or so on was a rerun, since NBC couldn't start in on The Fun Factory due to a strike.

I remember that. Unfortunately, that was part of an April Fools joke. T. Jay Dexter posted a list of new gems he'd "acquired," and among them was an 18 minute segment of Snap Judgment. Unfortunately, it was just a joke.

As for Jackpot, I'll have to get more information from my contact, and if it is the same one, we at least know for a fact that it is OUT of that museum, IN someone's collection, and could be circulating before summer gets here....

[EDIT: wow, in the scouring of the archive, I used Melvyl, and it excluded several shows. I can now remove some from the list, like High Finance...]

I know I could use a better quality copy of that episode.

Good job Jamie, keep up the good work!

It's a different episode from the one circulating now, but I'm not sure if it's in the Museum of TV. At least we know of 2 that are out there...and didn't someone once report that Geoff Edwards himself has a copy of the final show? That would make at least 3...

Oh, my bad. That's even better!
