Anybody remember her from Remote Control? This is where she is now:
Suit Claims Actress Fired Over Pregnancy

Wow, that was fast...it already says the story's expired.

Summary, maybe?

Don't you hate it when Yahoo! changes the URL on you?

Long story short: Kari was axed from General Hospital after notifying the producers that she was pregnant. Now she's suing ABC for discrimination and wrongful termination.

Let's see if we can make it three for three.

Evidently, the producers learned nothing from the Hunter Tylo case. More power to her.

You had Kari mistaken for future Figure it Out host Summer Sanders, who was joined on Sandblast by surfer Peter King and, as commentator, future King of Queens Kevin James.

Kari's post-Remote Control career, at least before s*** o****, included a stint on Sliders and a role in a VH1 movie some 6 years ago entitled Out of Sync in which she played a singer who kind of predated Ashlee Simpson.

It's a running joke, Matt. We've been doing that for literally years. It's not a big deal. ('cept I had to think before I figured out what the heck he was talking about.)

I've seen the 'joke' for years...I thought we left the folks-who-were-so-aghast-at-the-utter-thought-of-a-soap-opera-they-couldn't-even-type-the-words behind at atgs.

So be it.

There have been lots of times in recent weeks that I think we haven't left behind atgs at all.
Robert Hutchinson
I think it's a matter of whether or not you make a distinction between "trolls and the yelling at of" and "morons and the yelling at of", or whether you think it all belongs in the bigger circle of "a bunch of headache-inducing noise".

O RLY? (bottom clips on the page)

So not only are you about... 5? years behind the times with the censoring of "soap operas", you're wrong, too.

The day we allow people to run free and yap about sh*tting their pants or ask when people will f*ck off and die is the day that comparisons to ATGS will be valid.

That said... unfortunately, when Zach decided to relive his own trolling, I was reminded that at least some members have yet to leave ATGS behind completely.

Thanks for the clips, and for, in effect, reminding me that Kari took Summer Sanders' place on the 1996 season of Sandblast, just a year before Summer showed up on Figure it Out. Oh, how quickly we forget.

If you want to get really technical, we had started doing it as talk shows were starting to crowd game shows out of some time slots. I believe Tom Bromley was the first to post in that vein, in a post dated January 13, 1995:

QUOTE
(Then again, future t*** s*** host Mark Walberg is often referred
to in the press as an "ESPN personality", so maybe the reporters
don't watch cable game shows!)
