Hey there -- wondering if Randy or Chris could help on this:

Just how much of an expense to the budget of DoND are the models?

Depends on what you expect them to do!!

It's bigger than most viewers would ever imagine. I have the staff list from the pilot in my hand. so let's do the addition together:

Compensation for the 26 ladies and the show's added casting personnel, the cost of the wardrobe, plus the army of union wardrobe, hair and make-up artists and their assistants (there were at total of 14 for the pilot), plus the wardrobe consultant, three costumers, and two seamstresses. Then add the incidentals, such as their food (joke here)...

Which Chris? If it's me you are referring to, I have no knowledge of what it would cost.

Plus Randy answered better than I ever could. I just enjoyed watching as a fan.

And watching the show next to the models area was just heaven.
