Saw this commercial on Friday late night/early Saturday morning. John O'Hurley is now pitching his singing voice for his new CD. It's king of a modern style.

Wow. I didn't know John did Spongebob. You learn something new every day.

btw: Unless I'm missing something, the aforesaid CD is a collection of piano pieces by John O'Hurley. He doesn't sing.

I always wondered why they didn't cast John in the movie as King Neptune, although Jeffrey Tambor (another quasi-GS reference) did a good job.

Let me guess why he's a quasi-GS reference. He was on a prime-time FF special as a cast member of The Ropers? (IIRC, the fifth player on the team was someone who played a girl at the pool.)

Hate to call you on your snippiness, but maybe he's a quasi-GS reference after working as the announcer for Hollywood Squares for a year?

I didn't watch that incarnation of the show. In that case, I think you can drop the "quasi." (Now if my connection were the only one, I'd call it "quasi.")

You didn't need to apologize. You didn't do anything wrong.
