I caught this yesterday and today got most of it recorded. (QuickTime, 2.4MB)

This ad is for the new Road Runner with AOL service from Time Warner.

I saw another one that looked like the Wonder Wall set.... but it was just questions and answers.
TimK2003
Hmmm? I wonder what prompted them to come up with a game show-themed commercial???

We'll probably be seeing that "FF meets TPiR" commercial here in Northeast Ohio pretty quick as well, since Time-Warner is starting to acquire some of the cable providers located outside of Akron.

I still think the Comcastic spot remains the best of the bunch!

LA the DJ
Finally...

I'd always wondered what would happen if MGP would have put a Feud podium in front of the TPiR turntable...

Yech.

Do you mean "Final Exam", which I saw for the first time yesterday? It looked like it was intended to be a take-off on Millionaire (hence the "Final Answer?" at the end, question on the screen, music on during the commercial, and the single contestant-facing-the-host format), but the set was a bit different.

Still nothing beats the Comcast/Pyramid spots. Those are Great!
Kevin Prather
Didn't someone say that there was an extended version of that spot? I've only seen the short one.

This is the "Final Exam" spot I saw:

Although it's clearly a "Millionaire" spoof, the set & colors made me think of Donny Osmond's "Pyramid" at first glance.
LA the DJ
Oh thank God he wasn't making anyone fill in a blank.

Plays fine for me. You might consider an un- and re- of Quicktime/iTunes.

Well it will play fine for anyone that has the correct codec, I didn't.

After some digging I found out it's an MPEG4 Audio codec.

This one did it for me.

You might also need a avc1 codec which you can get at...

Well, glad you got it working. It strikes me as odd that you needed a weird codec, though, since aside from XVid (and maybe that's the trick, I don't know), everything I have installed on this machine (my work laptop) is pretty much bog-standard.

(That said, I do also have some MP4 apps installed for converting television shows to something my iPod can play, so maybe that had something to do with it too.)

For what it's worth, the machine I'm on now, a Power Mac G4, has just recent versions of QuickTime and iTunes (one version behind the latest ones). It doesn't have any oddball codecs, most of which aren't even available for the Mac outside of specialized standalone freeware applications. Yet I had no trouble with the videos. Who knows?
