Has anyone else played this? I had a less than pleasurable expierience with it, words such as "Monty" and "Cabbie' were deemed illegal; while "widget" was legal.

Maybe because "Cabbie" has 6 letters?

During a commercial for the Lingo online game, they show a screen of it where a six letter word is being played.

I did pretty good at the 5 letter words, but once you pass the round and they go to 6 letters, I was lost.

Oh, yikes, someone finally mentioned the Lingo cash game...

I will tell you now that the 6-letter round is what makes or breaks you, no question. I still find it hard to believe that some people can score 16, 17, 18 thousand and beyond. Highest score I ever saw on the progressive tournaments was in the 25K's, and here my best is only in the 13's!

My best suggestion with this game: Have your resources ready. My friend Robert Brown and I tag up over the phone on this one a lot (he's an English major, so...).

We have also been creating an Excel database with every 6-letter word we've run across in order to help us decipher the clues faster. The list keeps growing all the time, and a fair part of the time, it's helped us get more words than we would have just off the top of our heads.

If anyone wants the list as it stands now, give a holler over on AOL.
