That said, moderators, on-topic or no, is it really necessary for him to do this every Monday night during football season? 'Cuz that's what's going to happen.

Is this the first time MNF has started before 8PM on the East Coast?

I believe so, but I've only been watching MNF since 1995, back when the team was Al, Frank, and Dan. For a season they had that 8pm ET pregame show, Monday Night Blast, but it bombed because Left Coasters were still in traffic at kickoff.
