I think he means the game they played with the audience at the end of the show (to which I'll add a more "answerable" question--how long until they scrapped the concept?)

They played the "member of studio audience matches a celeb on a Head-to-head question" bit on the Friday shows of some weeks of the 1979-80 syndicated season as a time filler.
