After reading the article, the part about what do you do when you're not hosting Jeopardy.

DRINK

Does this more reason that Alex was drunk during the High Rollers Finale?

You're new, so I'm going to say this once:

DO NOT PERPETUATE THE "ALEX WAS DRUNK ON HIGH ROLLERS" MYTH.

It serves no purpose but to cement your standing as a freakin' moron.

And to think that only took 7 posts! Is that some sort of IrisMason/GSWitch record?

Nope. Witch did it in two. And one of them was his "Let's Meet Our Players!" blurb.

(And, to wit: I'm not suggesting that the FNG _is_ a freakin' moron. I'm suggesting that if he keeps up garbage like that, he'll be considered one quickly.)

Sorry for that, I never knew that rule. I saw parts of the video, and I think it is true. Here is the link.

High Rollers Finale

Go to the bottom of the page to find the clip, and someone should list the rules of what not to talk about.

Cmon, kids, we all know Alex Trebek owns a vineyard (Creston) in California and that he is a wine enthusiast. IT DOES NOT MEAN HE DRINKS WHILE HOSTING. Some of you folks need to reread that article and confirm that the words "Before the Double Jeopardy! round started, Alex took a big swig from a bottle of Stoli handed to him by long-suffering announcer and part-time sommelier Johnny Gilbert" do not appear anywhere in the article.

It is not true. And as for what not to talk about, I refer you to Rule #7 of the Eligibility Requirements, as linked from our home page:

QUOTE
7. False or Misleading Information

Posting information which, in the determination of the Executive Producers, is posted with the deliberate intent on the part of the poster to deceive or mislead readers, will be considered grounds for disciplinary action. Posting inaccurate information with deliberate disregard for the credibility of the source of such information will also be considered grounds for disciplinary action.

A helpful hint: there are numerous abject morons spouting all kinds of garbage on the Internet. The best way to distinguish yourself from them is to avoid repeating what they say.

Remember what I said about not suggesting this guy was a freakin' moron?

Opinions change.

No. To give you an award would be recognizing an accomplishment.

Usually you get a Bowling Buddy, a Scarecrow, or a Brick, but I think you've learned your lesson. Just be careful what you post. You just got here, and I'd hate to see you become the laughingstock for constantly posting unfounded rumors or ridiculous comments (it has happened in the past). Just watch what you say, and you'll be fine. :-)
