Ok, it seems that everyone and their dog is running for governor of California. Now my question, which game show personality would you like to see running for governor?

I'd say Monty Hall.

SInce this is a pretty off-topic thread, I'll just interject here that I had this image watching Leno last night of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Arianna Huffington and Larry Flint squaring off in a debate -- and no one understanding anything any one of them said!

I suggested this morning that the record for most times mispronouncing the word "gubernatorial" by actual gubernatorial candidates might be broken with this election. :)

actually, this is on topic. Arnold Scharzenegger is running for Calif. Governor. He was on the Dating Game, if you recall.

Love it!
I tell you what, if I was a Californian, I'd vote for that young girl who said, "I've applied for every other kind of job, I might as well apply for this one." From what I can tell, an underemployed twenty-something who knows absolutely NOTHING would be an improvement over what you've got now.
BTW, not only do we have Arnold as a Dating Game contestant, by Huffington has played a few games too, including some notoriously bad games of Pyramid, as I recall.
Heh heh heh. I said "recall".

Huffington was also on Win Ben Stein's Money, plugging her book very hard but very briefly, as she was the first one off.

Huffington was one of the celeb players on arguably the worst celeb J! weeks ever, DC Power Players week in 1997.

And now that Gary Coleman wants to be on the ballot, what about Emmanuel "Webster" Lewis for governor of Georgia (he currently resides in Atlanta)?

Let's take the California cabinet roll call...
ROSE MARIE!
RICH LITTLE!
HARVEY KORMAN!
KAREN VALENTINE!
GEORGE GOBEL!
GRAY DAVIS (in the Lox Box, of course)!
CHARLIE WEAVER!
VINCENT PRICE!
And the ambassador to San Francisco, PAUL LYNDE....
Now, here's the master of the state of California, Peter Marshall!
(BTW, wouldn't it be better to have official proclimations read by Kenny Williams? After all, he was a Town Crier on Video Village...)

I'd love to see Chuck Woolery get the postion. He'll legalize getting "Naturely Stoned" in public. Wouldn't you love it if there was a committee of four and they were tied: "The committee has voted 2n2 !"

There should be a Bill Cullen-Bob Barker ticket because as we all know, when it comes to politics, everything can be yours if...
(if you need the last four words, you shouldn't be reading this board).

Hey, why not have Richard Dawson, Louie Anderson, and Richard Karn run on the "Family Feud" party (Ray Combs might pull a Mel Carnahan)?
On the TTTT ballot...Well, Joe Garagiola's the only name on there, since Bud Collyer and Garry Moore are dead, Robin Ward is Canadian, John O'Hurley has a show on UPN this fall, and for obivous reasons, Lynn Swann and Alex Trebek.
At least Trebek would make a great Prime Minister of Canada.

I'm not sure what's so "obvious" about Swann and Trebek not running in this fanciful thread, unless you mean that they've already got steady jobs they wouldn't give up. Being Canadian is no more of an obstacle than Schwartzenegger being Austrian; it's only a presidential candidate who's constitutionally required to be native-born. And since people are going to vote for Arnold because of the image he's projected on the screen, why wouldn't people vote for Alex because they see him as a smart and decisive leader?
