Full Version: ATTENTION PROVIDENCE: Possibly No TPIR Thursday

Anyone who lives in the Providence market may not get TPIR Thursday. A Police Officer was shot and killed in the line of duty early Sunday morning. The Funeral is scheduled for Thursday Morning at 11:00 AM. Thousands are expected from all over New England. It appears to be the kind of Media event that will be broadcast on every affiliate in the city. So Rhode Islanders who want to watch TPIR will most likely have to watch the broadcast from an out of town station. Either WBZ 4 Boston or WFSB 3 Hartford, depending on where you live.

Shouldn't be a problem at all. TPIR's in repeats this week.

Also, with the conclave in full swing, I'm wondering if any of the stations in that area will even show the funeral.

They might...because breaking news out of Rome says that a new Pope has been elected.

Once again, irrelevant. What does it matter that the episodes are reruns--not everyone gets the chance to see them first run. That said; I got a chance to catch Price this morning...and enjoyed it--save for that bad Dice Game loss.

Besides, not everyone even knows that Price has reruns. I'm sure there were a lot of people watching the East Coast broadcast this morning who didn't think, "oh well -- I saw the end in October," when that Special Report came on after the second Showcase Showdown.
