Alan Thicke, who is 58 years today…
Canadian-born entertainer who has been involved in many facets of the entertainment industry during his career, including performing, writing and producing. Thicke studied at the University of Western Ontario with the intention of becoming either a minister or a doctor before taking his first job in show biz as an all night Disc Jockey. As an actor, he is best known for his role as the beloved father on TV’s “Growing Pains”, for which he was named “Father of the Year" by The Father's Day Council of Los Angeles, The Muscular Dystrophy Association, and The Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. He has written and produced TV specials, including “The Secret She Carried” and “America 2 Night”, earning 5 Emmy Nominations. Alan had much success as a host, beginning with “The Alan Thicke Show” in the early '80s, which remains the most successful daytime series ever in Canadian TV, and continuing as host for the Miss Universe and Miss USA pageants.

Also, did game show music songs in the 1970’s, like “Wizard of Odds” and hosted Pictionnary and Animal Crack-ups.

Thicke of the Night was also likely omitted for the same reason.

Speaking of which, does anyone have that theme? Hello? Anyone?

I'm going to ask this again: Can we cut the crap out with the "drinky-poo" comments?

You have NO basis for the accusations that he was drunk on the air. And that's because , simply, he wasn't.

Give the man some credit for being professional enough to not booze it up before a taping. And show the man some respect by not insinuating otherwise.

We did see Trebek drinking when taping those Phone Jeopardy! clips in 1990 that surfaced on the net a few years ago

Was it alcohol Zach? Because that's obviously what Matt was talking about.

There was actual evidence on Alex's podium(i.e. a container of some kind of booze) in those outtakes, yes.
