That's right, Wheel of Fortune is the newest Texas Lottery scratch-off game!

It's a $2 ticket & the object is to match any of the three Wheel letters with your ten chances or get a Wheel symbol to win $20.

There's also a second chance drawing to win Wheel prizes & get a chance to audition to become a contestant on Wheel!

The top prize, TWENTY-FIVE THOUUUUUSAND DOLLARS! Should've been $100,000!

Man, Texas is late on that one. I know the game's been around for a number of years. It hit Virginia c. 1998. I think our version had you scratch off one of the 1.5 million three contestant colors (red/yellow/blue), and if your designated contestant won, then you got a nifty T-shirt.

NJ Lottery had WOF tickets years ago. You could send in and try to win t-shirts. I won about a dozen. I think I have a few that are still unopened, in fact.

Will the state of Wisconsin explain the red boxes to me? What about if I scratch off a Dragon?

New Jersey had the coolest WOF game. You had five puzzles with different hidden prize amounts, and you tried to "solve" the puzzle by scratching off letters under the wheel. Sort of like "Crossword" but the puzzles were things like "EGGNOG" and "TEA SERVICE" and "PHILADELPHIA", short little things. And they didn't connect.

$200? Was that the top prize in 1956? And doesn't Wisconsin have to say who holds the trademark, just as Texas did with "Wheel"? Some people up there need to get their heads out of the cheese.
