Seems to be a popular "want-item" amongst people here....December 1986 issue is on Ebay. [Pat/Vanna on cover]

Also, the "Game Show Fever" publication is on Ebay, which I believe was a one-off....

An interesting game show photo....from when Peck [what the hell is he doing in this photo?], Goen, Tomarken, and Kennedy appeared on Cross-wits...[I thought the week had different hosts]

The Dec 1986 TVG$ issue has a report on the debut tapings of Davidson Squares and a profile on then five-time game show contestant Don Benn.

The Game Show Fever issue on Ebay is the second of two issues.

Peck, Tomarken, Kennedy, and Goen were the four celebs on a week of Sparks Crosswits. I don't believe the hosts rotated like we saw during game show host weeks of.

The 'Letters to the Editor' page was how you heard from other fans in the pre-web era.

How many issues of TV Game Show magazine were there?

At least one Invisioner/ATGSer, Tammy Warner, had a letter published in that magazine. There were seven issues of the magazine(August 1986-February 1987). There was a special TV Game SHow Encyclopedia that subscribers got as a free gift. It contained contestant/ticket address and phone numbers of most of the game shows airing in first-run at the time(Fall 1986). It also contained a listing of shows, hosts, networks aired, and airdates, arranged by packager; not all packagers were listed, but most of the well-known ones were.

7 issues....which pissed the hell out of us who subscribed for 12!

I thought you were wondering why he was amongst game show hosts when he was no longer a current one.

Then I looked at the pic--yeeek.

I got the first issue of GS Fever when I was 7...I remember it had an article on Jim Caldwell, soap stars discussing their GS appearances (such as Brad Maule and Leslie Charleson on Crosswits, along w/Rip Taylor and someone else), a "match the host w/the show" puzzle, and an article on Dance Fever (evidently, the fact that they offered a cash prize qualified it, in the editors' eyes...LOL).
