To tell you the truth, the toughest ones in my opinion is the categories, All About Languages, Physics, and Chemistry. Because I didn't take them in High School.
P.S.: Isn't All About Languages kind of like "Foreign Words" on Tic Tac Dough?

I don't think that the categories were that hard, per se (untill I saw some of those early CBS eps.), but I think they became much harder when they were preceded by 2 jokers...

TJW had a Crossword Definitions category in the syndie era, but the clues used in that category paled in comparison to clue writing on Cross-Wits, Scrabble, Jeopardy!(when they have their crossword clue category) or Monopoly.

The "Mystery" category is obviously one of the toughest, because you have no idea what the category is.
Chemistry is also another tough category.
There is one category that contestants didn't do to well with... Road Signs... the player is shown a road sign, and he/she has to identify what the road sign is.
One of the most memorable of this category was when a road sign indicating "two-way traffic" was shown. One contestant answered, "you can pass on one side". That was wrong. The other contestant guessed "you can pass on either side."
