It's far from rare to hear a sports radio show use one of the themes from either of GSN's game show themes discs, but today (Thursday 7-17) a production staffer at TK's ESPN show went above and beyond, using a ton of TPiR sounds and tunes (including "Splendido!") in a bit about the fabled ESPY Awards gift bags to open the show this morning.

Check it out at espnradio.com. The show's still live until 1 PM Eastern, then the whole thing will be available on archive until tomorrow (Friday) morning.

You think he'd have more imagination that to play "Plink Plank Plunk" FIVE TIMES IN A ROW. I listened to that entire show almost but I couldn't pick out "Splendido".

Seriously, though, that's one of my regrets over never having been in show business...all that awards show bling bling. How many Fendi watches can you get in a year?
