I've been searching high and low, and I haven't found a site featuring pics from the current season of Aussie WOF. Are there any out there that I may have missed?

BTW, if anyone hasn't seen it yet, there is a web page for the Australian
version of Jeopardy! from 1993 that lasted only six months, with pictures
of their impressive set. You can reach it at the Links section of the
what_is_jeopardy group at Yahoo! Groups......

And it seems the only rule change was the second DD in round two. Good score by the player in the pics, though.

Just out of curiosity, anyone know how the new version is being received overseas?

I've checked out an Aussie game show forum, and some don't really like Steve Oemcke (the current host of Aussie WoF), but others say he's getting better.

Also, there IS a website dedicated to the Aussie WoF, but, there are NO pics from the Steve Oemcke era, and nearly all of their multimedia clips come from the Rob Elliott era (video clips that is, but there is one VERY RARE clip from the era with the first host, Ernie Sigley).

I know at least two SFX from the show may have been used on our shores before:

acorrlet: The current ding used when a letter is in the puzzle has also been used on "To Tell the Truth" in the late '70s, 1980-1, and the 2000 revival with John O'Hurley. It has also been used on the (vulgar & stupid) 2001 revival of "Card Sharks". The old ding (as heard in the Ernie Sigley clip I described) has also been used on "Family Feud" and the 1990 revival of "To Tell the Truth", plus some GS skits on "Saturday Night Live"

awronglet: The buzzer you hear on the Aussie WoF when you call for a letter that isn't in the puzzle (or run out of time before solving the bonus puzzle) has also been used in the "Rant" round on "Cram", but it sounds MUCH higher in pitch. I think it's also been used on the first season of Chuck Woolery's version of "Lingo" when they were in Holland, just with the same pitch from "Cram".

BTW, has Rob Elliott (or any Aussie WoF host) made an appearance on the US WoF? I know Sophie Faulkner did back in 2000 (judging by what I read at the website I mentioned), and during another "Around the World" week from 1991, there was a website that mentioned all of the letter-turners from around the world trying to turn the letters at once, and I think Adriana Xenides (the old letter turner from the Australian version) was one of them.

The thing I've always wondered with the Aussie Wheel is the existence of weird values on the wheel, like 110 and 235. Any knowledge on the origin of that?
