This hasn't been mentioned here, but Trio aired an 1960-61 episode of Queen for a Day last night during its "Awards Mania". (It's from 1960 or '61 because the show ended with the announcer saying stay tuned for About Faces, which aired on ABC in 1960-61).

The winning queen on the now way dated sob fest that Trio aired(Lifetime is going to update it in a more upbeat format; speaking of Lifetime and game shows, Who Knows You Best? airs on Lifetime Real Women nowadays) won a boatload of prizes worth $2,525 (including a trip to see an up-and-coming comic named Bob Newhart), and after the commercial break Jack Bailey announced she won $400 more in prizes (including $100 in records for her son - when $100 was a lot of records).

All I can say is the QFAD format of the 1950s and 1960s would NOT fly today!

100 plus 100 equals 600?

We want some more pro wrestling (STILL) and NASCAR questions!

Trio did air an episode or two of QFAD around December, whether this episode was one of those aired then I'm not sure.
