Just wondering if anybody knew who exactly it was singing the AFV theme song--the first version, from Bob Saget's run (I don't think any of the other versions' songs had lyrics anyway). If anyone knows, has an idea, whatever, I would be most appreciative. Thanks!

Jill Gallen, I believe...a 2nd season Saget-era ep actually showed her singing the theme during the intro.

Chuck Donegan (The Illustrious "Chuckie Baby")

The last Saget-hosted season had a theme revamp, sounding more R&B ish...but IMHO, it sounds generic in comparison.

The Australian version has lyrics as well, that are almost the same as ours, except for a few words.

May we please put the kibosh on OT posts? Thank you.

She was credited as Jill Collucci.

Well, one could consider this an on topic post. It all depends on whether you consider AFV a game show. I, for one, think it has certain game show qualities.

I find it strange that the last time I checked, they were still using the same ska version of the theme that they used during the Fuentes/Fugelsang era (and if I'm not mistaken, the same set)? The whole ska fad came and went years ago, and besides I don't think they're exactly aiming at 'hipness" by having Tom Bergeron host the show.

How can Bergeron be considered hip when he hangs around with Squares all the time?

Here, there and everywhere, it's hip, hip, so hip to be square.

The subject header says OT. That's where I get the idea that the topic starter even knows it's OT. However, to each his/her own. Moving on now.

Same theme, logo, announcer, and a similar feeling to the set - but not the same one. I feel for some of those audience members who have to squeeze on an odd "seat" that's really just a cylinder of wood. The whole part about ska isn't the issue - that's about as updated as the original theme is gonna get methinks.
