I'd think w/the return of TPiR to Australian TV this wk, the Nine Network homepage would have a little something devoted to it, but I haven't seen anything...wonder what the deal is...

If you don't like Larry Emdur, might I suggest Ian Turpie instead?

Congratulations gshowguy, on posting a reply to a topic 14 months later. Is that a record?
And , might I add, what an insightful post!

Thanks.
If you don't know how long "Turps" (as his fans call him, like "Burgo" is to John Burgess of Aussie WoF fame) hosted the Aussie TPiR, he hosted it on the Seven Network from 1981-1986. It has the same format as the current Aussie TPiR, but the set looks way different. The announcer wasn't Shawn Cosgrove, but rather, John Deeks, who currently is announcer on the Aussie WoF. And the theme song was nothing like that on the 1993 version. It's more like a slightly different arrangement of our classic Score Productions theme song. Both theme songs are found on the first Australian Game Show Page, as one of the links on Chris' Original Game Show Page.

Let's hope not. God, one's more than enough.

And I am not. I don't even like getting criticized just because I'm replying to year-old sections that haven't had replies.

Well, then why did you do it?

I had posted to the person who said "Larry Emdur acts nervous", and I waited a full year before I finally suggested he watch Turps' episodes (I hadn't been a member yet). THOSE episodes are VERY HARD to find. And he's not the only one. In a forum called "The Supermercardo Project", one man criticized Larry and suggested he bring back Turps from retirement (even though he's in the Aussie news already, when the ads he did for a nasal spray turned out to be a hoax).

Joe, that's an unfair comparison. This person's dredged up threads that have been dormant for 14 months. As a rule of thumb, Zach doesn't revive threads that have been inactive for more than 14 minutes. :-) Also, Zach does occasionally provide worthwhile information.
ObGS: I like Balderdash and, after hearing about GSC 4 experiences from several people over the past few days, I'll be there next year. You've been warned.

You may find this hard to believe, but a lot of people really get annoyed when people do stuff like this.

You're totally missing the point.
