I feel the same way. The music is great, but its not my favorite season.

"Like" is an understatement. Sounds a lot better than the sucky .wav I made, but hadn't gotten around to uploading yet. I didn't think I'd find it on the web this soon!

And allow me to take a moment to thank you for NOT putting it on an idiotic bandwidth-limited Yahoo site.

Having never seen season 3, I must say this sounds great. Has a techno feel, but still has a distinct melody, but I also like the electric guitars. Much better than the first two seasons' theme, which was catchy but repetitive. Anything over 1:00 works for me.
One thing though, it sounds like something you'd hear on "Powerpuff Girls." :-)

Personally, I thought it more akin to sci-fi drama music. :-)

The is one of the very few Lingo "improvements" that were actually improvements.
And remember... It's not just Chuck...It's Bimbo!

Too bad it doesn't lend itself as easily to a derriere-based dance as the old one did. :)

I have got to start reading these posts more carefully. I was picturing a big guy with an L on his chest, available for training at Lingo. "You will Obey the Lingo Master for he is right - R-I-G-H-T"

I guess (G-U-E-S-S) they decided to go on the creative path after all. After using (U-S-I-N-G) the Netherlands' version theme (T-H-E-M-E) song for 2 seasons in a row, they're doing (D-O-I-N-G) something right (R-I-G-H-T)!

Actually GSN lost the license for the Dutch theme song after 1 year. They HAD to have a new theme song this year. I may be getting all the sounds from Lingo shortly so stay tuned from a post my be!

You mean, they lost the license to the Dutch (D-U-T-C-H) theme (T-H-E-M-E) song after 2 seasons?

Oh no, looks like a bad case of Lingo to me. Nurse! N-U-R-S-E!

During the breaks in the LINGO theme, the bass and guitar riffs remind me of one of Edd Kalehoff's legendary Nickelodeon/GAS game show themes...
Think Fast starring Michael Carrington and Skip Lackey.

The part from 0:52-1:17 seems to remind me of Wild and Crazy Kids for some reason.

They only had it available for 1 year of air play in America, and if you think about it, then its true. Lingo started in the beginning of December. Right around that time, new episodes of Lingo started with the new theme. Either they couldnt air the reruns of the show or they had to make a new season quick. I think thats why Season 3 came so suddenly.

The second season of shows began airing in December 2002, but the first season of shows(taped in Holland) began airing in August 2002.
