I know that GSN, for example, ran marathons for Millionaire and Password when their new primetime versions were airing, but has this been the first out and out cross-promotion?

I remember seeing ads for Louie Feud in fall of 1999 on the network. This confused my 9-year-old self who was expecting new episodes to turn up on GSN, not an affiliate.

In 2002, GSN aired promos for NBC's Today Show "Game Show Legends Week" (or whatever it was called). (Or does that not count since GSN participated in it?)
