Full Version: Combs Feud back again?!?!
Game Show Forum > Discussion Boards > GSNŽ

This is per GSN's own schedule on the site. It shows that starting this Monday (6/1), they will be airing Family Feud (Combs) at 10:00am. Then at 11:00am, Super Password gets a full hour replacing Bingo America and Whammy!

Is this possibly the fastest change that has ever happened? Bingo and Whammy! were only on the daytime schedule for 2 weeks before being replaced.

Wonder where they'll pick up?
catnap1972
Right where they left off would be my guess.

Me thinks they must be in panic mode to upheave the schedule again after just a couple of weeks.

Probably, but I hope they'd resume where they left off the time before this. What was that, late 93? (the baseball/little league special)?

Yep, you're right. GSN started airing Combs' final season in October 2007, so they didn't get too far into that season before they pulled it.

(One source on the GSN boards placed the little league special week at Dec. 6-10, 1993, but I haven't found anything to confirm/deny that.)

[MontyPython]And there is much celebrating among the Combs fans, now. [MP]

So apparently my copy of an episode that week is from a repeat...it has a date of July 4, 1994 on a preceeding news insert.

Correct. I remember seeing that week of episodes in July 1994, and distinctly remember the 1993 copyright on the episode.

Didn't they put something on years ago (Now You See It, I think) and replace it with Click just about a week later?

I thought it was other way around? It lasted all of about a weekend.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but does GSN even air any other reality shows besides poker? (Which is hardly a "reality show" anyway.)

Erik, you should really consider using Firefox as your web browser. Built-in spell check should be right up your alley.

Thanks for giving me nightmares, Chad. Jerk.
(JOKING! :) )

Glad to know about the little league Feud week date...that and my Classic Concentration episode I have are two episodes that were unknown dated in my collection so far. One down is a good thing. I might post it later...it's already in a digital format in my collection and is a really good show.

Shoot, I left my whammy flag hanging on my car window, hang on a sec.

It was a weekend run in Oct. 1999; NYSI was replaced after only two weekends, apparently due to a contract with Click's producers.

Two weeks seems to be the record for the shortest GSN run. I can think of two other shows that matched it; Blockbusters weekday run in May 2001, Show Me The Money's Tuesday run in June 2007.

How long was Weakest Link on in weekday mornings before it moved out?

That I don't know, unfortunately.

For those keeping track, Combs did pick up exactly where they left off on Monday; syndicated ep. # 207, from 1989.
