Looks like the GSN Schedule(their site not the pdf) is showing Lingo at 3pm effective Monday. The 1:30am run is still listed. Sounds right, they ran NYSI at that slot, so they want people to TIVO it I suppose

But why do we need the 186th run of Lingo?

Because GSN said so.

That may be a typo on there. I just checked my guide and it still shows Squares at 3pm for the next two weeks, plus the PDF still has it listed at the same time as well.

It is a surprise. When I saw it one Fred Roggin said words to the effect that the show was doing well for GSN.

How is it a typo when it's plastered on 5 days worth of schedule?

In any event, it is showing for 12:30 on Saturday, so maybe they are just doing it at night and on the weekend. Maybe they just want to burn the lease off first before sending it back to the vault.

Your guide must be wrong, then. GSN.com's still showing Lingo in that slot as of a few minutes ago.

Is it a metaphysical certainty that the GSN.com website is correct?

Why the need to be right about it anyhow? We'll all find out soon enough whether Lingo or HS is in the 3:00 PM time slot

Yes, we shall.

(Honestly though, why would they change it on the site if there wasn't a reason to?)

Because for years, their guide has had a twist of unreliability to it.

Point taken.

I'm still waiting for that episode of "Say When" they had on their schedule a few years back on April 1.

Apropos of little, if anything, Comcast's interactive guide has listed WML? and TTTT as GSN's late Sunday / early Monday shows the last couple of weeks.

Aaaaaaand Lingo season 3 is now on at 3 pm.

I still can't believe it's been two years since they made new episodes of Lingo, especially since it's getting high enough ratings to justify being on the schedule so frequently. Were the costs for the show getting too high?

My guess is that in the minuscule world of GSN ratings, the reruns are doing well enough that they feel there's no need to invest money in making more new ones. Because no, I doubt the show was getting any more expensive to produce.

Ah, the good old Double Dare effect. If it can last in reruns forever, why bother making new shows?

Maybe they ran out of five-letter words?

For the record, "Hollywood Squares" is still airing in the 1:30 AM timeslot.

Is it keeping its weekend slot at 12:30 pm EST?

I think so; as of right now, it's still listed for that time on GSN.
