The episode will air on Thursday, April 16th. The article says he will be taking part in both Showcase Showdowns.

A Barnes & Noble review that I read says the book covers his personal life and contestants that stand out in his mind. So if you're looking for dirt or his side of the story on the former models and the lawsuits, forget it. I figured the audience would get a copy of the book. For Barker's sake, I hope no one there decides to "throw the book at him" (ducks for cover).

Anybody else willing to bet they mean to say showcases?

I'm kind of surprised he realized that he just can't slap his name on a book and expect it to sell. At least he's trying to promote the book via book signings & Price appearance. I still don't think it will have an impact on sales.

I think it's safe to say people want a dirt book about Price. That's what people wanted Stan's book to be. I'm kind of glad it's not a tell all book as I'm sure he'd put his own spin on it (not to say whomever does a book won't put their spin on it)

The "dirt book" on TPIR is being done by Chris Mann, who did the "behind the scenes" book on Three's Company. Chris supposedly got a lot of people, including Anitra Ford, to speak out. Don't know how that book is coming along. He's been working on it for over a year.

Why would he perjure himself? He usually has other people do that for him.

But I'd sure enjoy the book more if I knew he was going to come clean!

After it's learned that the ratings for the April 16th telecast are big fatties, marvel at how quickly the powers in the towers attempt to cough up an idea for the next "special guest appearance".
And now, on the news that produced our topic, this exclamation: Daddy's coming home! Daddy's coming home!!

Wouldn't it be sad if Barker turned into Jon Lovitz after he left SNL, and just kinda hung around? "You guys need me in a showcase? No? OK. Just page me if you do. I'll be in the lobby, spaying and neutering."

Pretty much looks like they coated Barker with orange paint......
