I am SO sick and tired of all this Drew bashing going on. I mean, what can you expect from a guy who makes $7 million per year? Drew is trying his best. He went from unemployed to Power of 10 and then he gets TPIR without even auditioning or watching the show so he must be good. OK, he's not as good as my second father Bob Barker, but you wait and see. Give him another 7 or 8 years and he'll be the best host EVAR111111111111!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Someone had to express the contrarian opinion.

Shoot howdy, you look at the comments on the TMZ site and they don't cut him any slack whatsoever. If you're Nina Tassler and you look at the ratings and you look at Drew and you look at that rash of comments, how can you not think something is amiss?

Because there's more factors in play then just Drew. I'm not defending his lackluster hosting days or his handling of this incident (he really should have faked it) but putting the blame of the lower ratings soley on him isn't right.

When Barker left a big chunk of the audience disappeared. Plus, daytime is down overall. However, all of the discontent not only about Drew's hosting but also the "new direction" of turning a game show into a comedy show aren't helping.

Oh good. I wanted to make sure you knew too. :-)

It's just irritating to see people on other boards placing all of the blame on Drew carey when some people outright refused to watch it with anyone but Bob anyway or when you try to show them that some of the factors are likely also the cause of the lower ratings, they basically say you're wrong.

This show needs a new show runner. In the worst way.

The folks on the TMZ forum aren't pulling any punches regarding their dislike of Drew. It takes a lot to shock me, but my jaw dropped when I read the one comment about where the only place was that Drew had a flair. That was just like - WOW.

The folks on the TMZ forums are going to do that to anyone regardless of situation, though. They're only a little better than YouTube comments.

There isn't a single choice from those who were considered for the spot -- known or unknown -- for which the Not Bob Factor wouldn't have caused the ratings to go down.

Not one.

Could it have been less bad with someone else? Can't say, but I don't ignore that possibility.

But to say the ratings are a direct "report card" on Drew's performance is short-sighted at best.

That still doesn't get him off the hook for letting this bit of in-house drama make its way on air.
