For those that may not notice that Kris Lane has decided to take his website down completely, he hasn't been able to update any portion of his page since 3 or 4 years ago and had his website remained untouched since. If you thought that Jimmy Coyne had a busy life, Kris Lane's life was even a whole lot busier than Jamie's, which is a shame.

And he promised some updates last year.

What a shame. I was looking forward to his All Star Blitz and Wordplay episode guides.

I had discovered his site in 2002; it re-kindled my interest in Remote Control. I loved going there, and it is a shame to see it gone.

I wish Mr. Lane nothing but the best.

Um...why?

(Yes, don't bother.)

An eulogy for a website?! Really?!

Consider the source.

That said, Kris did run a very good site.

The first one to produce and publish a WWE-style video montage and tribute to Xanfan's site on YouTube...

...you would be INSANE.

/Sorry, I can't resist saying that. :)
//Though I be damn surprised if it showed up on the Game Show Temple channel.

Absolutely. And I think its demise is certainly worthy of our attention. Sure "R.I.P." is a little much, but this is a noteworthy item. Let's not always be in such a hurry to play the "consider the source" card.

It's personally always a little sad for me to see a quality content site like that completely disappear, and we've lost a lot of them over the years. As someone who still tries to pretend I'm maintaining mine (except the Compendium, let's face facts) I certainly know how easy it is to lose the interest or time to keep them up.

The site's not down completely... There was an error on the domain renewal as all... It'll be back up and running by the end of the week.

I'm more shocked the OP has two sentences in his/her post.

OK, Xanfan, maybe I should either lock or remove this topic by the end of this week since you needed a domain renewal, but thanks for reminding us.

That would be a neat trick for you to pull off.

I was gonna say. iris becomes a mod and the devil will take our hindmost.
xanfan, glad it'll be a quick fix.
That's two premature RIPs in one week. Shall we try for three?

ME: Abe, it's Don. Just checking to see if you still have a pulse.
ABE: Bernice would say otherwise, but, yes, I'm still alive.
ME: That's great, Abe. Hope those royalty checks are still coming in.

I have my popcorn ready. YMMV.

I'm really grateful for the Pyramid episode guide that they had/have up. Located many an episode on those guides.

Reminds me of a Bloom County cartoon...

PANEL 2-He picks up the phone and dials.

You're welcomed!!! By the way, I was the original researcher and complier in locating as much as possible of the TV guide listings for the New York-based Pyramid episodes (1973-80) as a contribution to Xanfan's web page. It was not easy searching and looking through the microfilm archives at the New York Public Library's Mid-Manhattan branch, but I managed to record and noted all much of the archived printed listings as best I could, and do it within under a week during the year 1999.
