Casey posted a G-R report from Price's new season, and there's a few syndie Deal reports over on
Hollywood Junket. (NOTE: there are some spoilers on the site as well)
Any other reports of what's going on for the upcoming season, from anyone who's attended a taping? Would love to hear about Trivial Pursuit, or even Million Dollar Wheel.

Dunno, but I was looking at the numbers for Temptation in Hartford just today, and noticed something stunning.
At 2:30pm, up against 2 soap operas and Martha Stewart :
Temptation comes in second place with a 1.5 rating.
This HAS to be an abnormality, no?

It is surprising, to say the least. Perhaps a lot of people there are just glad to have $ale back in some form (I had the same attitude when Whammy! premiered, was glad to have PYL back in some form).

But Whammy at least TRIED to make it look like the game it was a revival of.
Temptation failed to do that. They added too much in and it took away from it.

We were working on a promo page at work that has wallpapers and icons on it for our users. (Apparently they like that stuff.) One day, one of my officemates looks at the banner on the page, and asks "Does that say what I think it says?"
On the banner, in inch-high letters: "Fun Free Downloads."

Could that be due to time-shifting? Sometimes women will tape or TIVO the soaps to watch later (and pause the action if interrupted by a phone call). Temptation is good for watching in real-time but for archiving.....? My grandmother used to tape her soaps to watch overnight and watched the USA game show block during the day. Always enjoyed visiting grandma.

"DOND" on WMAQ--don't know time yet, but they've got open that hour of local shows, infomercials and "Access" reruns at 11 a.m., so maybe there (or the 2 p.m. hour where "Crosswords" is, if they bail out on the Daytime Plus scheme).
"Trivial Pursuit" could be on either WFLD or WPWR--the Fox-owned stations have bought it.
And the second run of "WWTBAM" could either disappear or move into overnight at WGN--their midday newscast is adding a half-hour in September and starting at 11:30 a.m.

On the Louisville front......
WDRB Fox 41 has already started advertising DOND, which would indicate a strong time slot since they never plugged Crosswords, which aired at 4:30am. No official word yet on "Trivial Pursuit", but based on Belo being announced as one of the station groups to pick up the show, my hunch is that WHAS will be carrying it, possibly as a pairing with WWTBAM.

Buzzerblog and Hollywood Junket had this a couple weeks ago as an isolated incident on a couples' week taping. The two blew through all the high amounts, to a point where $500 was the big number on the board, so tape was stopped, and they were sent on their merry way with the high amount on the board. Doesn't make the practice any more savory or defensible, but it seems to be more of an "occurrence" than the hard-and-fast "rule" the Perf would make it out to be.

The (Best of) Syndie DoND will air on WPGH (FOX) in the Pittsburgh-New Castle area. Not sure about Trivial Pursuit, but it probably won't be on KDKA (CBS) or WTAE (ABC). WPXI (NBC) has been showing MGC, so I don't know if they're getting the Program Partners Package or continuing to air Montel.

And that's where WDCA-20 (a MyNet affiliate) will be showing it in D.C. Right now, the big 4 DC stations are doing local news at that time and both 20 and WDCW-50 (CW) are showing court shows.
The only other certainty about DC syndie shows is that WJLA-7 (ABC) has snagged Millionaire from the 4:00 slot on WUSA-9 (CBS) and will bump Crosswords to make room for it at 12:30 p.m.

Can't say how much distribution Syndeal will get up here in Canada, but NTV ("Canada's Superstation") has already been showing ads for it, promoting a fall launch at the plum time of 5.30 pm.
