Just checked the TS site:

Final syndie game show schedule for Huntsville, AL:

10:00AM
Trivial Pursuit: America Plays (double run) - WHDF-CW-15/14 (new show, runs against The Price is Right)

11:00AM
Family Feud (double run) - WHDF (same time, new station - moves from WAFF)

12:00PM
Deal or No Deal (double run) - WHDF (new show)

12:30PM
Jeopardy! - WAFF-NBC-48/49

6:30PM
Who Wants to Be a Millionaire - WHNT-CBS-19/59
Wheel of Fortune - WAFF

As before, WAAY-ABC-31/32 and WZDX-Fox-54/41 are game show-less, as will be WZDX/DT2-MyNetworkTV-41.2 (branded "WAMY My8") when Temptation is put out of its misery shortly.

The moral of my story is...always read the schedules before you post... :)

Here's the rundown of the Chicagoland Game Show Schedule...

10am - The Price is Right (CBS)
Noon - Daytime Deal or No Deal (NBC 5, pretty sure it's double run)
2pm - Family Feud (My 50 Chicago, dual run)
3pm - TP: AP (My 50 Chicago, dual run)
3:30 pm - Jeopardy (ABC 7)
5pm - Millionaire (WGN)
6:30 pm - [Million Dollar] Wheel of Fortune (ABC 7)

TP: AP goes head to head with Ellen (all hour long) and Jepoardy (second half). Good luck trying to grab my attention.

Crosswords is dashed in favor of Bonnie Hunt. No big loss there.

Temptation goes the way of Old Yeller. Fine by me.

That's another film that can go back to NetFlix.
Is anyone getting WOF and J! on different channels this season?
After all these years with ratings still being good, I wonder if anyone's dumping the tandem.

Feud stays at 10. (poor TPIR gets a Bonnie Hunt lead in my area.)

Could always be worse...out here, TPiR had an hour of infomercials for a lead-in for the last few years before they finally wised up and put an hour of their morning news guys there instead.

From the Quad-Cities of Iowa and Illinois (a missed $25K question on yesterday's WWTBAM rerun):

WHBF-4 (CBS): TP:AP at 11 a.m. and DOND at 3 p.m. (DOND replaces one run of FF; the other remains at 3:30).
WBQD-26 (My): MGC reruns move to 8:30 a.m. (Double run of Family Court at 4 replaces Rossi; double run of That '70s Show at 5 replaces MGC)

KWQC-6 (NBC): Keeps the double run of WWTBAM at 11, J! at 4 and WOF at 6:30.

The only thing missing is Out of the Box...

For Milwaukee, we now know the new WMLW scheduling:

Family Feud: 7:00pm and 7:30pm
Millionaire: 8:00pm and 8:30pm
Crosswords: 9:30pm
J! - 10:30pm (second run)

No word on Trivial Pursuit timing, but the site says Wiegel (WDJT/WMLW) bought it.

A perk of working in master control is you get to see stuff before it airs. A few impressions on the new season:

DoND: Much faster-paced than the nighttime version. Moves at a nice clip. No family brought in, no gimmickry, just game.

Jeopardy: They re-arranged the theme! Sounds more --- I don't want to say laid-back, but maybe less pompous, if the older one was at all. Rearranged the think music, too -- third ever IIRC.

Wheel: Only change from season 25 is the addition of the million-dollar wedge, which works exactly as reported. And the removal of that "25" space too.

Maybe it's just me, but I think it's about time they re-arranged the set too. The current one has grated at my nerves since the day it debuted. It looks like they took the '90s checkerboard set, threw out the checkerboards, tore up some cardboard boxes and glued the scraps to the wall. Ick.

Judging by the time period pattern of J! set overhauls, I'd say we're about past-due for one. The first one lasted a year, the second one lasted 6 years, the third lasted about 6 more(?), the sushi bar lasted about 5, and this current one (save for podiums) is going into its seventh season. I'm hoping we see an overhaul either next season or sometime during this one.

I'm gonna throw this out there:

This is one of the most content-heavy half-hours in the field right now. Who gives a rat's ass what the set looks like?

I mean, really, "grated at my nerves?" Really? I care about three things, set-wise, when I'm watching Jeopardy:

a) The board is large and easy to read.
b) The podiums display the scores clearly.
c) It is easy to discern who buzzed in.

They had a problem with © for a little while, but they seem to have fixed that. But I am NOT looking at the backdrops and saying "ugh. What's happening over on The Insider?"
tpirfan28
I think it's the most content-heavy in the field now. Millionaire's gonna come closer this year, but still won't average ~58 questions a show.

The new think cue will be interesting. The first one was solid, I liked the intermediary second one (the one with the piano second-half), the current is good enough.

What about the Big Money wedge? I thought they were tossing that as well.

Also, I found out yesterday that WREX is moving Jeopardy! back an hour to 3:30. Presumably to give "The Doctors" a cleaner time slot (4-5) against Oprah, and it also completes the game show block they're building with Millionaire, TP, and Deal. Still, three hours between J! and Wheel just feels wrong.

Is Oprah allowing "The Doctors" to compete against her directly? She doesn't let Phil do that.

Update on the fall schedule for Atlanta...

WOF: 7pm on WATL (MyNet)
J!: 7:30p on WATL (MyNet)

Same as last year for both

DoND: 4:30p on WXIA (NBC)/6:30p on WATL for, according to TitanTV, digital users only (those using rabbit ears will apparently get "According to Jim" repeats. That's according to TitanTV, not me)

TP:AP: 1-2p on WPCH (Peachtree TV -- Time Warner-owned indy that used to be WTBS)

WWTBAM: 4p (new episodes) and 12:30p (last season's episodes) on WXIA

FF: 12-1p on WPCH (new time slot and channel from last season. Aired last season on WATL from 1-2p. WATL has opted to extend its "Apocalypse Block" (nothing but Springer, Povich, Wilkos and Cheaters) to EIGHT HOURS -- nothing but these four shows from 9-5p.

At this point, it appears we won't be receiving Best of Crosswords/Inside the Box

Try living in Chicago. J! at 3:30 and Wheel at 6:30. I've known it to be that way since as long as I've been around, and both shows were probably there long before I was born. Oddly enough, though, not too many game shows, if any, have been slotted in that 3 hour lull, even though Oprah airs at 9am.

When us Indianans in my area didn't observe DST, Wheel was at 6:30 when we were on Central, and J! lead-in TPIR at 10:30 (they tape-delayed Price and kept it at 11). J! did eventually go to 3:30, paired with Hollywood Squares for the last couple of years.

Yes, and yes. As I mentioned a while ago, a double run of Millionaire starts Monday. but since TP doesn't come until the 22nd, they're back-to-back in the 2:00 hour until then. Speaking of which...

Millionaire: Biggest changes. Graphics are slick. There's the clock, and the categories. 15 seconds a question on the first tier, with ATA, PAF, and DD given; 30 on tier 2 with ATE added. The expert shows up on Skype-sponsored videophone. For the phone-a-friend, when the player asks for it, they show on-screen their three PAFs along with a photo and town of residence, and we see the photo while the friend is on the line. Coming out of a commercial, they introduced the contestant waiting in the wings while the first player was still in the hot seat. A clock-runout is a walk, not a loss.

Small update on D.C. -- WJLA (for a week or so, I guess) will be exiling MGC to 2:35 a.m. next week once its rights to WWTBAM begin on Monday. After Sept. 11, I don't see Crosswords on at all.

When does TP begin? I don't see it on any DC or Balt schedule for the next 14 days.

At first when I heard of these changes I wasn't too thrilled. Millionaire has worked for nearly a decade the way it was, why change it? But now that the new season is almost on our doorstep, I'm actually looking forward to this. If it ends up boosting the ratings (which I'm sure is one of the main reasons behind this), then that's a good thing.

At the eleventh hour the My Network affiliate here in St. Louis has added 'Feud' at 9AM in the morning. ABC-30 dropped it in favor of 'Deal' at 10PM. No 'Trivial Pursuit' though.

Thats nothing new. This may be of dubious distinction, but six years ago this market started the new season without 'Feud', 'Pyramid','Hollywood Squares' or 'Millionaire' on any station. Given the markets history I was truly surprised we got 'Crosswords' and 'Temptation' last year.

Oddity in Seattle: KIRO (CBS-7) has a double run of Feud (previously on KMYQ (MyTV-22, 10 on cable)) listed for 9 - 10 AM starting tomorrow. Since the TP:AP website lists their show @ 9 AM on KIRO, at least half of the Feud double run will presumably last just a couple of weeks.

Oddity 2: While Zap2It shows the double run of Millionaire on KONG (IND-16, 6 on cable) in last year's time slot of 6 - 7 PM, the Millionaire website still lists the previous time slot of 7 - 8 PM. Or are they changing? Guess I'll find out when I get home from work tomorrow and see I've taped an episode of "EXTRA." (>8={)

For what it's worth, the Comcast on-screen schedule has 6p as two episodes of Millionaire, just like last year after Crosswords got punted to 2:30p.

Can anyone provide information on the Central Virginia market? Zap2it and Tv Guide are both still reporting last year's info on most of the stations. The market ranking is somewhere in the 180s I think, so I doubt anyone will know, but unfortunately Comcast no longer gives us access to the Richmond or DC stations.

WTVR:
-Crosswords at 10:30 then TPiR.

WRIC:
-D/ND at 4pm

Finally found TP in DC. Looks like WDCA-20 is going for a 3-hour GS block while the "big boys" are in Phil/Oprah/talk/news mode with:

4-5: Feud
5-6: DoND

Interesting turnout in Central VA (Charlottesville area):

MyTV has Feud at 9 and 930, Millionaire at 10a, DOND at 1030, Crosswords at 11, and Box at 1130.

They also have Style by Jury at 130a.

What's odd is they are carrying all 3 of the "Daytime Plus" programs - is anywhere else doing this?

Additionally, they are airing the Millionaire eps from last season, and I haven't been able to discover another run of Millionaire in the area. Do any other affils air last season's program, without airing this season's? (Crosswords doesn't count.)

In Charlottesville, it looks like TPAP is on at 9:30AM starting Sept. 22 on MyCville. It may pop over to Channel 16 in the afternoon in one of the Feud slots too.

I think those afternoon listings for ABC (in Charlottesville) are erroneous - Tyra Banks and Bonnie Hunt occupy those 2 afternoon slots. Thus, my confusion on the reruns that air in Millionaire's only slot in the town (10 am).

That 11a-12n hour there looks very much like a business decision. My guess is that the Gray Television quad-opoly (ABC 16/CBS 19/Fox 27 + Digital MyTV) is trying to protect their top-rated show of that hour, TPiR, on 19.

Thanks for the comment, VERY good point about TPIR that I hadn't thought about. Sorry to all to keep bumping this thread. Why is it the most interesting market - because of the election?

I still can't understand why they're airing LAST YEAR's Millionaire. I recorded it again today - maybe it was just an error for this week.

And I truly feel bad for the neighbor to the east, Richmond, which seems to have gotten the royal shaft in gs syndication this year.

TP: America Plays is on the MyNetwork affiliate at 8AM, single run.

A bit OT, but the market is interesting to me because only ten years ago there was only one NBC affiliate...now there's a full assortment of network stations.

EDIT: As I suspected, TP:AP will be on WLYH, the CW affiliate in our market, at 7p, next to DoND.
