Even though the man himself didn't want to disclose his birthdate to the board (which is his right, of course) I have been told by Mr. West that today (9/29) is in fact his birthday. So, to a great announcer, knowledgable mentor and a wonderful human being, I want to wish Randy the happiest of birthdays on behalf of all of us here.
Best Wishes, Randy! You're the greatest!

Hey Randy,
Happy Birthday. I must make you aware, as a former high school quiz bowl host for 14 years and vo guy for our local CBS affiliate, I AM VERY jealous! Don't you have the best job in the world?
Hope your day was a good one. I watched TPIR today at the radio station here in Huntington, WV where I do a 1-hour quiz show with lovely prizes and even a lovely parting gift. You, as we say here in WV, are the bees knees! I have no idea what that means, but it is meant as a compliment.

Today is also Burton Richardson's birthday. Yesterday was Rod Roddy's birthday.
When's Rod Serling's birthday, again?

Speaking of birthdays, today also happens to be the birthday of Stephanie Miller, who hosted the recent I've Got A Secret remake on the Oxygen network.
Happy B-Day, Stephanie; and you too, Randy!

Aw shucks, it's like a big (dysfunctional) family here! Thanks for starting the thread Jim, and much appreciation to all who take the time to add their "shout out".
Starting the day listening to myself announce TPIR is the kind of birthday wish I always thought was reserved for terminally ill kids! There is no way on Earth I would EVER have predicted it back when I was a teenager with bad hair watching Johnny O at WML? in New York in 1971. Good thing I never even whispered it as a fantasy - I'd have been locked away in the "Puzzle House"!
Yes Dr. Bear, Johnny had his big early successes at WTMJ (The Milwaukee Journal). And Gameshowhost1, you're probably the closest among us to John's home at Buckingham Acres in Lewisburg, W.V..
And Splitsecond (do I know you well enough to call you "split"?) yesterday was indeed Rod's birthday, but I'll need some proof to accept that Burton and I share today; it's just too "Twilight Zone"!
So thanks for thinking of me! Regards to the rest of the family. And if you're ever at Beverly and Fairfax when I'm around, "come on down" and say "Hi"! ;-)

Come clean now, Randy. How many "29th birthdays" does this make?
Note to self: Set the alarm for 9:55 am and catch TPIR this week.
I leave everyone with this cheerful thought: You know you've got one foot in the grave when you discover that you're older than your sex partner's parents.

Well, his signature says "older than TPIR, younger than IGAS", which means he must be between 32 and 51 (assuming he meant when IGAS premiered).
Anyways, happy birthday, Randy!

I don't think it GETS much further East while still being in North America, unless you walk down to the waterfront. :)
