Our next weekly leaderboard challenge begins today, November 15th, and will end next Friday, November 23rd.

So if you really want to win, you'd better not have Thanksgiving plans.
chad1m
No, actually, there will be no Thanksgiving show. =)

That would be their streaming video...it's doing it to everyone.

Speaking of which, Matt O...I believe you were going to experiment Friday with IE7 and see if it worked any better. Any results to report?

Tried a different experiment instead. (Really don't like using Explorer any more than I absolutely have to.) I completely closed out of Firefox and reopened after each game. Didn't have a problem except for jumpy video in game three, which seemed to be everybody's problem and unrelated to my earlier freezes.

Meanwhile, how bad is my obsession with this thing that I'm figuring out how I'm going to play on Wednesday and Friday during a trip to Tennessee?

Clearly I need to check this out, when I'm on my break from work and can more easily schedule in such things.

Wow, when did they get the Internet in Tennessee? :)

It really is a lot of fun. I strongly recommend it!

For me, the best part of the show (and the big reason why I go almost every night) is the chat feature. Yeah, we do get a little silly sometimes, but it pleasantly simulates a "game night" get-together with your close friends. And it's a great way to get to know fellow GSF boardies.

Often, even the hosts will stop the game momentarily if the chat is particularly interesting or funny.

It requires an invite, I could gladly send you one if you want it.

Thanks, but no need yet....I don't start my 100-day break until December 11, and I really won't have time to dedicate to it until then, so there's no huge rush. :)

I can't speak for everyone, but I attribute most of my problems to my seizure induced tablet pc. :)

Please! I'm trying to figure out how I can be live doing a radio show tonight while playing!

I do hope you don't take as much flack as I do when I get time off!

Sadly, this is Microsoft contractor policy, not a voluntary leave of absence, so flack will not be distributed. But I plan to take full advantage of three months of financially-solvent unemployment. :)

Is this a talk or sports show that you host? If it's just playing music, I'm surprised that there still live music shows after dark!

Most of those stations nowadays are automated with the the announcers "pre-recording" their schtick!

/Damn the evil Clear Channel empire!

Hey Tim

I actually work as a teacher but I've started to moonlight on my school's new, honest to goodness, CRTC-approved radio station, CHOP FM. I have a one hour slot on Monday nights at 10 EST, and I play a bit of everything. I've done college radio with two stations before, and I find it really fun and relaxing. We are a small station but there is a live link so that people outside of a say 5 km radius can listen too.

We're pretty much independent so not as part of any empire - yet.

Cheers

Ryan :)

/who is hoping that he will host some kind of game show format, preferably soon, on said station.

Touché!

102.7, CHOP FM, Newmarket

Right now we only have programming Sunday nights (teachers), Monday night (me) and Mon-Fri mornings (students), however hopefully it'll grow! It's hard scheduling students mind you because they've got a rotating timetable.

Just a reminder that we're still alive and that our weekly leaderboard cycle has started. It's still not too late to knock anyone off of a perch, though! =)
chad1m
Also, an even more exciting reminder.. Open registration is now available! Get signed up in time for next week's leaderboard cycle!

Chad,

I have to ask because I wasn't there on Wednesday or Thursday. What was the ruling on the Tuesday episode on if leaderboard points were given, were no points given or my suggestion, half the points?
