Yeah, it's a promotion tho- A pair of people have to pick 2 specific envelopes out of 150 to win the $100 miliion (per the rules, the odds are 1 in 11,175- so they'll likely end up with the $100,000 consolation)

I've brought this up before. Howie mentioned it in September *or early October* when he appeared on the Tonight Show. Leno was also shocked when Howie brought up the number "$100 million."

Outside of him mentioning that there will be a $100 million giveaway, Howie didn't know any further details, and wouldn't release them anyway if he did, he said.

So it's just like Pepsi's Play for a Billion sweepstakes: astronomical odds to get on the show and then win. They can offer $100 million, but it's extremely slim that they will give it away.

...Just like DoND and its $1 million top prize, huh? *cough*MillionDollarMission!*cough*

Since the episode aired tonight, I just wanted to point out that a member of the last team, Carol Lepoudre, works as a special ed teacher at my high school. =)
