To anyone planning to record Drew Carey's first episode of The Price is Right:

When I went to set my DVR for that episode, I found that my cable box's guide had, as the show for 11 am ET on Monday, "Drew's First Show!" That wasn't in the description. That's the freaking title — with no mention of The Price is Right anywhere. I checked Zap2It.com and found the same thing.

So, please double-check your pending recordings on your DVR, VCR, or DVD recorder. If you have a Season Pass or its equivalent, I suspect that it's not likely to pick this up.

Also, make sure you set the date for 10/15, not 9/15... ;)

For those interested, near as I can tell, Tivo has it right, at least so far.

My cable box is showing it correctly, for all available affiliates.

I just rifled through the online listings of Zap2It, Yahoo, MSN and TVGuide, and they all come up as they should.

Okay, now this is strange... if I use Zap2It to check over-the-air stations here, WROC (my local CBS) shows "Drew's First Show!" while WTVH (Syracuse) and WIVB (Buffalo) have it right. I thought maybe it was bad info from WROC -- but TitanTV has all of them right.

Bizarre.

Comcast's DVR not only lists it as "The Price is Right" but also flags it as a NEW show - something it's never done before. I'll have to see what Cablevision lists it as, and whether it shows up as NEW. For now, though, it's locked and loaded for Monday.

Just set it last night... Cox's DVR has "Price Is Right" and the description says "New" and "Season Premiere". Wow, it's almost as good as TV Guide was once upon a time!
