Had Rod Roddy not passed away, might he have been a good candidate to replace Bob as host of TPiR?

I think he would have done the job well, but consider this. If he had not passed away, he would have been up there in years as well, probably close to retirement himself. The job probably would have gone to someone younger, and farther away from retirement. For example, Drew Carey.
