I found out a couple of days ago that I was selected to be a contestant on Shokus Radio's "Anybody can play." Has anyone else from this board been on it?
Jimmy Owen
Yes. I was on the second show. It was a blast and a treat to get to talk to Ronnie Greenberg and Stu Shostak. Have fun!
GSFan
I'm last weeks (March 6, 2007) winner. It was great fun! Have a good time tomorrow!

Well the show ended and I'm this week's big winner! I also set a record in the challenge round by answering 9 consecutive questions.

Yeah, but you should lose points for not knowing what to do with your huge winnings. Rule Number One of game shows: The host is going to ask you what you're going to do with the money. Have an answer, even if it's only thirty-five bucks!

Seriously, congratulations. I didn't immediately recognize any other names, were any more of us on this episode?

Yeah, I kinda goofed up on that one.
GSFan
Congratulations, GSGuy on your win. Did you have a good time?

Matt, I was the big winner on last week's show (#4, 3/6/07).

Jamey Greek

I taped it last week, (March 6, 2007) and I will be on April 10th. I was against a fellow invisioner that will remain unamed for the time being

Bumping but for good reason...

This means a minimum of 4 board members out of 6 players will be on tomorrow night's game. I'm a contestant on tomorrow night's show as well. I'll let the other players identify themselves if they wish.

I've registered, but whether or not I get the callback is largely dependent upon Stu being willing and/or able to tape a show (he did tell me the show is going to be going to a taped rather than live format) more conducive to the work schedules of West Coast-based potential contestants.

Hello. You'll love tomorrow night's show... I guarantee it.

I don't speak much around here, but technically I am a board member, and I too am on tomorrow evening's episode, playing a fellow Invisioner.

That makes 5 board members. If it's not saying too much, the person I played against is, as far as I know, not subscribed to this board.

I will echo Nick's sentiments. Tomorrow night's show is phenomenal, and not because of the high Invision-to-normie contestant ratio.

Who says we don't represent? :)

(I gotta get in on this...don't like the fact that it has to be a cord phone, but I think I can get past that.)

It doesn't have to be, because I played my episode to be aired next week with a cordless landline phone, it's just recommended.

Stu's just saying that because he doesn't want interference screwing up the sound quality of the show. So long as your cordless phone doesn't abjectly suck, you should be fine.

Okay...I'll go sign up, see what happens.

Okay...I'll go sign up, see what happens.

I had an email exchange recently with Stu about some unrelated topics, and he absolutely wants people to sign up even if they don't completely meet all of the requirements he's laid out, just so he knows who-all is interested and if maybe he can work around that to get games going. What I would do is mention what the tie-up might be (say, later taping time, or whatever, but I wouldn't worry about the phone issue), so he knows what he needs to do.

What I'm hoping is that he gets enough applicants who would rather tape a show in the evening sometime (because I don't get home from work until a little before 7 Pacific time most nights) that he can do that.

Congratulations! And enjoy your winnings!

Meaning no disrespect, didn't two of the three of us answer all 10 correctly on the 3/6 show? I know I lost in the tiebreaker (oh, spoiler, shmoiler!), but I don't recall missing anything until then.

Well that's what Stu said. Maybe there were people who had more then 9 before me but Stu forgot.

Roger, has anybody answered more than 10 in a row? :-)
