Didn't waste any time, didya Brian?

(Wrestling + game shows, in one night...if I hear an explosion somewhere near Cincinnati, should I be surprised?)

Neither did you, apparently.

Exactly what rule did Brian break with his post? Remember, you're talking to the person who approved it.

(Hint: any variation of "...but he gets away with this all the time!" is not an answer.)

Um...I wasn't criticizing Henke that time. I knew he was going to post something about that...didn't think he'd do it once he heard it.

Is it now official that Deal or No Deal has jumped the shark?

Huh? You knew he was going to post it but didn't think he'd do it?

Sometimes I think you're so certain that others will break the rules that you can't help making an issue of them even when they don't. Take it from someone who knows firsthand: it's not worth it.

Once DoND started with the big money games, that's where I think it jumped...if it has, at all. Don't think this would push it over that way.

1.) If Howie needs some more models, I have two chicks who love to expose their briefs (cases that is) on television (whistles for Moolah and Mae Young to come out through the usual crowd of models...)
2.) I think Vince McMahon would make a great banker. He could get red-faced and angry stomp around when someone says "No deal". You just don't say no to Mr. McMahon.

No...I didn't think he'd do it immediately (or within 10 minutes, in this case) after hearing it.

I didn't make any sort of issue about this particular Henke post. All I remarked on was how fast he got it up.

Uh, yeah, you did. So he posted it 10 minutes after hearing about it. So freaking what?

(Hint: the correct answer is "I'm sorry, I overreacted.")

I'm sorry. I overreacted.

I was watching Raw (as I do many Monday nights) when I saw the announcement, and I had to announce it here.

I didn't know about the wrestlers' DOND appearance until it was announced on the air.

I'm not trying to snipe, but please, don't use that as an excuse. When you feel you HAVE to post something game show related, it's time to realign your priorities. If you feel it would make for a nice mention, fine, but don't make it seem like it's a life-or-death situation.

More to the point, and I know he won't read this, but, Brian: STOP MAKING EXCUSES. That's what's so friggin' annoying. And really, you don't have to anymore: if your post is deemed topical and gets through the moderators, you have nothing to make excuses for, and if you try to make something on-topic that isn't, your post won't get through. Period. You being on moderated status is about the best thing the mods could have done for you.

Two and a half hours and we're onto the third page of this thread; that must be some kind of record.

I think we've had enough kvetching about the original post.
