As I eluded to in the Christmas Gifts thread, I received a copy of the $100,000 Pyramid DVD Game...which isn't all that good anyway (looks like Donnymid met the "Great Metal Pyramid Shrine"...bleh). But there is one thing that really shocked me...

This development image.

It looked like some sort of weird hybrid of the $100K top piece (where the $100,000 sign was, plus the associated bows?) and that "Pyramid".

I wonder what happened during development.

"The Pyramid thanks you for posting that pic."

Maybe they thought the $100,000 sign was too much of a throwback to the '80s version.

'Cuz, you know, God forbid they should use anything from the GOOD one, right? :)

Developer #1: You know...I like that version of Pyramid on GSN..it's got a cool set. Can we do that?

Developer #2: Let's try it.

[sketches drawn up and delivered to the head honcho of the project]

Head Honcho: Who the HELL messed up the Pyramid? It would be disappointed. And why isn't Donny Osmond available for the voiceovers?

All joking aside...Sierra did a good job of design with their $100K game. It was a throwback. Yet we get this.
