Found an incomplete large-size deck of cards from Card Sharks, w/Buy it Now option of $200.00! Noticed too, that it's not only incomplete, but also has some repetition of some of the cards.

Although, if these really *are* Card Sharks cards, are there 30 of us who want just one? If so, maybe we should pool our resources...

I have hundreds and hundreds of genuine price tags as used by Bob Barker on The Price Is Right "One Bid" game. They were made from materials commonly found in an art suppy store plucked from the trash bin at CBS Television City, so you know they are authentic.
These cards look like the real deal, though.

If we're talking about pooling, I'm in for one or two. For serious! Let's try it!

Same here. I'd chip in for at least two cards.Wow. You snooze, you lose. Hopefully someone from this board snagged them and is willing to part with them for a reasonable price.

Sadly, if it were a full deck, I would have paid $200 for it.
Oh, and with a name like "shoppingline", if you don't think that guy is gonna turn around and try to flip those for $20 a pop, you're not thinking. Bet he gets it, too.

I was just telling my wife about this (no, no labor. yet. )..... I'd offer more than $20 for a card.
So who bought em? Anyone around here? Seems funny how 30 minutes after we get alerted about this, they're gone....

Sorry not to be extending the puns (actually, no, I'm really not). I just wanted to say how disappointed I am to have missed this auction. I would have dropped $200 in a heartbeat to buy those cards, knowing full well that there would have been plenty of us to share in the cost for a chance to each have one or two. I hope that the buyer is one of us, because it wouldn't surprise me at all that instead it'll be a reseller who'll get it back selling them one at a time for thirty or forty bucks apiece.

actually I think everyones under the assumption these are from the Jim Perry version, didn't the Ricki Lake edition this summer use cards identical to the Perry version? I would think those are worth far less than from the classic version.

In the first place, there were many, many duplicated cards and I doubt very seriously that Ricki's operation made multiple decks. Secondly, I don't think this is the sort of thing that Sotheby's or Christie's is going to set a collectable value on. Whether they're "genuine" classic cards or just decent replicas from the Marathon would probably not really matter to most people.

They're properly-sized Card Sharks cards. I don't think anybody CARES. :)

The typeface used on the numbers was different with the GSM, it was not the Bicycle numbers seen on these cards.

The winner was shoppingline, and one entry from their eBay feedback was "Great customer, fast pay & communications.Highly recommend.Thank you Shawn A+++++". Another was "Shawn, enjoy Monty Hall's fact-packed autobiography! - billysclubhouse"
So, do we know anyone named Shawn?

Shawn Wilsie? ShopNBC host, occassional contributor? (His SN on here escapes me - it's probably simple, too)
