Full Version: 1 v 100...Hiatus In Sight?

Just looked at the program schedule put out by CBS going through the end of the year (12/31), and it looks like 1 v 100's last scheduled airing is Nov 10th.

In its 8PM Friday place afterwards:

11/17: DonD
11/24: Movie: "The Family Man"
12/1: Dateline NBC

However, after that on 12/8, 12/15, 12/22 and 12/29 the programming is labeled TBA. (Looking at the 5- network grid provided by The Eye -- Net #5 being the CW (snort)-- I didn't come across any other TBAs, except one or two scattered throughout the 4th Qtr schedule).

I would think if 1 v 100 is pulling in strong ratings, they would have had it scheduled beyond the 11th. I can understand a special movie on the night after T-Giving, but throwing in another "DonD"??

I'm wondering if:

a) They may be a little retooling of the game, based on the facts stated here previously, or

b) This was a trial run (4 eps) and they may be going full force in 2007?

c) None of The Above

The speculation lines are now open...

Well don't forget they only have 5 episodes taped now, and they are now JUST starting to cast for the the One/Mob. And it'll take them about a month to edit the 15 hour of to a 42 minute show, so I'm guessing January 2007.

Problem number one: why the hell does it take 15 hours to do a 42-minute show? (Rhetorical question) Maybe if they would stop overanalyzing every aspect of the show, they could get more episodes in a day.

But what the hell do I know?

Another possibility is that the schedule you saw is out of date, or that NBC has not yet revised its long-term plans and gotten new schedule material out to the listing services. Remember, NBC was already promoting the season premiere of Vegas when they decided to delay it by a week and plug in another 1 vs 100 right away. If they want to, they can change their program schedule in a hurry.

Certainly not because they're stopping down to let the contestants take a leak.

Don't forget the Thursday DoND that week is pre-empted for the three super-sized NBC sitcoms. So moving that week's DoND to Friday seems to be a logical move.

Doug -- and the countdown to 2400 continues

That does sound like the reasonable answer. That and the fact there are only 5 eps in the can. I had thought that they had taped more than that already. Well,...they could've if it didn't take 12 freakin hours for one ep!

But yeah, Deal was listed as a new change on this week's guide.

BTW, on Monday nights, it's Barney ("How I Met Your Mother") over Howie hands down!

I am curious how they will logistically cast the hundred, one after one. Just the five shows I was a part of, that was a nightmare in itself.

Note to self: Bring salt tablets to the next taping. (:))

According to Steve Beverly's page today, NBC has ordered 15 episodes.

Yep, the 5 previously aired and the 10 going into production relatively soon if they haven't already (I thought they taped this past weekend, but I could be wrong).

I guess today would be relatively soon. There's one session today and another tomorrow. (I will attend the one tomorrow at around 6 p.m. - thank God they could work around my full-time-can't-get-time-off work schedule!)

They will tape more episodes next week, according to a production person I spoke with.

I was in a late group on standby. I called and found I wasn't needed Tuesday, but that they may call us back for episodes taping next week.
