Listening to some of the pieces on that new site...got me to thinking...what's your favorite prize cue, bumper, etc?

Mine is A Time for Tony.

"Splendido" always makes me happy.

It's technically a theme, but until I first saw Jeopardy '78 a few years ago, I only knew its closing theme as background music for WoF. That's really my favorite, though I like the ending on "A Time for Tony". Runner up for me is the "klunk" music on Barris' "Treasure Hunt"--that always puts a smile on my face.

I'll second, or third, A Time For Tony. It's quite a piece of music.

"The Money Maze" had some of the best and most varied music of any show that ran just 26 weeks. Great job by Score on that assignment.

I always liked the little string fanfare when the contestants were first shown on the original TTTT.

Really all but one or two of the shopping cues on 'Wheel of Fortune' from the eighties. Also assorted cues from the original 'Feud'. There's also a particular showcase cue on 'TPIR'. Its upbeat and has a lot of horns.

Too bad there's no series episodes around anymore for it (although portions of the different cues were used as briefy as MG think music and the main theme for The Guiness Game.

Any of those instant bargain cues from $ale. Sooooo fun.

Quite a few Price cues---"Starcrossed", the Race Game and Take Two cues, and some others I can't mention at the moment.

Some of the music from the Vegas LMAD eps was pretty cool too [enough to make me buy the Music for TV Dinners CD, that had "Sporting Highlights" on it], as well as the '84 cues.

The prize music from PYL (Tomarken).

There was a prize cue from LMaD84, that was used during the Big Deal, usually the "2nd place" deal. It was a decent mix of synthesizers and horns, and that's about the best I can do to describe it. :-P

I'm sure it would change based on what's recent in my memory, but I recently watched some Password Plus clips, so I'll nominate the main game win cue.

If bscripps can name the 1978 "Jeopardy!" theme in its WoF incarnation, then I can name the "He Said, She Said" theme in its incarnation as the "Who's Who?" music on '70s "WML."

Ouch. He Said She Said was just...grating. Some of my favorites:

Contestant intro: The Joker's Wild (runner up: Bullseye)
Think music: Tic Tac Dough
Win cue: Joker's Wild main game '79-on
Prize cues: The 1983-era TPiR car cue that starts with horns and has a flute lead somehwere in the middle. (There's a sax version that occasionally played in some big-ticket showcases in the mid-to-late '80s.) Special mention to Hal Hidey and his entire late '70s B&E package.

There are many non-themed cues I liked. So, I'll spit it up in the decades of my life:

The 70's:
The various TPIR cues fron the 1972 & 1976 package
The win cue on the early version of TJW
Win cues from the syndie versions of TJW & TTD
The consolation/parting gift cues from Gambit & the Magnificant Marble Machine

The 80's:
The various TPIR cues from the 1983 package
The prize cues from LMAD & High Rollers
The main game board set-up from HR
The "Klunk" cue from Treasure Hunt
The puzzle solve cues from WoF

The plentiful number of cues in TPIR and Double Dare, plus since some are doing "show themes used for prize cues on other shows", I nominate the 70's Split Second theme as a All-New LMAD car cue. I also like the contestant cues on the 70's-80's B&E shows (Joker, Tic Tac, Bullseye).

I've always liked the prize music used on the Barris shows of the '70s. It was great to finally hear them all in the clear when that CD of the themes became available a few years ago.

OH YEAH!!!! I forgot those!!!!! I can easily count "Little Russian Song" as a favorite.

On the page with the Treasure Hunt music clips, I tried to find my favorite, but didn't. It was the one that was also used coming back from the first commercial break on something that used to frequently air called "Ruff House": How to prosper during the coming bad years" or something similar.

Two other favorites I can't forget: the It Takes Two think piece from the NBC version (which I use to this day whenever I need to time something for 10 seconds) and the 1968 Pay Cards! piece they played going into the first commercial break after a round was played.

I checked Matt's site, too; I knew about the album but somehow had missed the CD reissue.

if you love the prize, commercial cue, background music you better check out TQ's game show theme page. He's added over SEVENTY bits from the Las Vegas era of "Lets Make A Deal". Somewhere around 40 is also the music used on 1970's "Split Second" when Jay was describing the car as the contestant walked over to it.

Add my "Little Russian Song" vote to the rest.

The only one Treasure Hunt cue I wished the site had was the music they used for the "Big Check" win. That marching bandish music they blaired with the air raid sirens. I think they also used it when they were picking the box as well.

it was indeed the same music and it's a shame nobody seems to have it.
