Say. Did you hear that NBC knew Allen Ludden was going to have a stroke two weeks before he had it and had tickets printed with Tom Kennedy's name on it so the PR engine would be ready with a statement? In fact, Tom was approached for the impending emergency before Celebrity Whew! went off the air.

Mr. Broyhill's post has been edited per the Moxie rule: "If you are particularly unruly, I will edit your comments to help you say what you really mean." As I noted in Behind the Scenes, he is now in the Isolation Booth.

And while I don't know if the mods can participate in the voting for LotD, props to Mr. Owen for his line.

In a way, Mr. Broyhill turned out to be something of the visionary - next week's tapings of the show are cancelled, since Bob is having a problem with his foot.

Not to toot my own horn, but judging by the reactions I got, you might wanna look to my April Fool's post from last yr as to how it should be done...I declined to do another one because, much like the 4/1/03 edition of Bergeron HS/H2, didn't wanna try to top a classic. :-)

Very interesting. Admitting it is the first step to recovery. As for the rest of you....
