Bob Barker could've made history in 1978 @ New Orleans, also the same for Willard Scott in 1990 @ Orlando & 1992 @ Phoenix. A male category champ who felt like Susan Lucci (Always a bridesmaid, but never a bride).

But it was in Dallas, Texas where history was made @ the Pillsbury Bake-Off! Alex Trebek hosted the 37th contest that year. There were 90 ladies & 10 gentlemen entered. Kurt Wait from Redwood City, California made pioneer history by winning the Bake-Off with his fudge macadamia torte cake!

Kurt Wait joins the list of these pioneers in other fields of firsts...

Shirley Muldowney (drag car racer)
Libby Riddles (Iditarod sled dog racer)
Geraldine Ferraro (Vice Presidential candidate)
Bill Koch (Winter Olympic Silver Medalist in 30 KM Cross Country Skiing; 1976-Innsbruck-ABC Sports)
