Currently they're showing the Dallas Cowboys/cheerleader specials. FYI, the air date of the first day was June 30, 1980. I can tell you this because I actually noted it in my journal when it happened. Have they recently aired any eps with a family coming close to the $25,000 limit? (I don't want to spoil it if it's upcoming.)

Ah, yes...Family Feud kicks off its new 12:00 time slot with a week of Dallas Cowboys vs. the Cheerleaders.

Feud in the noon slot, and looking at the date, I'm guessing that would have been ABC's replacement for when "The $20,000 Pyramid" bit the dust... I can't remember right off now, what filled the slot Feud had been in when it went to noon?

I have airdates for almost every 1980 FF episode GSN has shown.  Is there something specific I can be of assistance with?

If memory serves, Love Boat reruns went into the 11AM ET slot, replacing Laverne & Shirley reruns and FF.  FF then replaced PYRAMID at 12N ET.

Thank you. I am surprised Feud lasted five more years, given that it ended up in the "Noon Death Slot" (unless it began to tank there and ABC moved it as a result). Would I be correct in guessing that the noon time contributed to killing Pyramid in 1980?

I would presume so. Noon and 4:00 time slots were killers by that time. Am I wrong or did CBS not program in the Noon-12:30pm half hour by 1980?
Or was Y&R fed at noon and 1pm?
At the end of The Price Is Right at that time, I remember Johnny Olson would tell us to "please stay tuned for Search For Tomorrow one half hour from now".
