Does anyone know anything about the original Canadian version of "To Tell the Truth," hosted by Don Cameron? I am seeking behind-the-scenes details, such as the names of the producers and the Canadian syndicator.

I purchased a TV Guide dated 10/12-18/63 on Ebay which had a brief review of the program. It was on CTV and the panelists were Toby Tarnow, Bob Hall and Stan Helleur. Review by Pierre Maple noted that "This is patterned after the CBS feature but pays only $25 a unit in prize money."

Here's a brief summary from the Canadian Broadcasting History website... and pretty much the only info you're likely to find about a program from the forgotten first five years of CTV.
Here's an article on Don Cameron at the time he passed away last year..much more in depth..from the Montreal Gazette..

It answers a question I had upon finding this thread. He was the same Don Cameron who was the first host of "Its Academic" on WEWS-TV 5 in Cleveland, Commuting from Canada to do the show..
